England Counties U18 Coach joins Lewes

join me in welcoming Chris to the Lewes Rugby Club family
- Nick Page, Chairman

Lewes RFC is delighted to announce that Chris Roberts has been appointed as Head Coach of Lewes RFC.

Nick Page, the Chairman said "Whilst sad to see Mike Stubbs go, I am pleased to announce that Chris Roberts will be joining us for the coming season."

Roberts is an RFU level 3 Coach. His professional background is education where he has been able to mix teaching with a love for rugby and being Director of Rugby at various schools along with various other coaching roles.

He is currently England Counties U18 Coach, which is the non-elite route into England and where Joe Launchbury was “discovered”. Roberts has just come back from tour with them to Ireland.

Chris has, until recently, been London & South East Division U18 Head Coach and for the last number of years has spent his summers coaching the Samurai Bulldogs 7s sides. He has experience of coaching in South Africa, Singapore and the US.

Chris and his family have recently moved back to Sussex with his family and lives in Eastbourne.

I’m sure you will join me in welcoming Chris to the Lewes Rugby Club family.
