On 15 June the Wooden Spoon charity has their latest fundraising event incorporating the Sussex Rugby Golf Championship. Lewes RFC members are invited to enter a team.

The event takes place at Mid-Sussex Golf Club, Spatham Lane, Ditchling, BN6 8XJ and is open to all in teams of four. Individuals wishing to participate will be allocated to teams. Prizes will be allocated for first, second and third teams plus individual prizes for nearest the pin and longest drive.

Members of Sussex rugby clubs are particularly encouraged to compete for the President’s Trophy – awarded to the highest placed rugby club team as Sussex Rugby Golf Champions 2017.

There is no limit on the number of teams per club. It is open to all Sussex referees, coaches and administrators. The best 3 Sussex rugby club teams qualify for the national finals on Wednesday 20 September 2017 at Henley Golf Club.

Bacon rolls and coffee will be served on arrival and there will be a post round two coursecarvery. Entry cost are £220 per team of four (£55 per player).
