Lewes have to concede match to Folkestone

For a variety of reasons, Lewes were unable to field a competitive XV for their home fixture on Saturday, and thus had to concede the points to Folkestone - a result which sees the Kent side just below Lewes, on points difference only, with Lewes themselves slipping to fourth place. Haywards Heath have jumped above above Lewes to take third spot following their convincing home defeat of League leaders Thanet Wanderers. Sussex rivals Pulborough remain in second spot after continuing their recent run of victories.

Lewes's chances of finishing in a promotion spot now appear increasingly remote, and their next match - a tough away trip to Park House on Saturday (k.o. 2.30 pm) - could prove a turning point in their whole season.
