Ladies continue their winning ways

The Ladies posted a comfortable home victory over Barnes by 24-5 with two tries each from Lauren Arthur and Sarah McCarthy. The rules of the ladies league means that five tries are needed to gain a bonus league point but they are still hard on the tail of Guernsey in what promises to be an exciting second half of their season.

The Colts (pictured in a pre-match minute's silent to commemorate the recent loss of an Uckfield junior player) visited Uckfield and lost 55-5 with their only try being scored by flanker Curtis Burch. The score belies one of the Colts' best individual tackling performances but they were unable to match their hosts' speed of thinking and reaction.

The U15s visited Crawley and posted a convincing 5-50 win with tries from Jimmy Collins and Joe Barnes in the first half, both converted by Oisin McWalter followed by second half touchdowns for Owen Bell-Davies, Jimmy Collins, Ben Edmonds, James Willets and a second try from Joe Barnes.

The first game of the day resulted in a win for the U13s who won a pulsatingly close contest at home v Heathfield 30-20. Try scorers were Jude Littlewood, Franco Ricci, Robbie Stoner and Jack Soltermann (3). They were cheered on by the U14s whose game against Hove was postponed.
