Congratulations to all three!

Congratulations to Zara Green who starts for England in the U18 Women’s 6 Nations Festival in Colwyn Bay today (Good Friday). Zara played for Lewes RFC from U6 to U16 Lionesses continuing her development via Cardinal Newman, Sussex and Harlequins Centre of Excellence.

Zara’s elder brother, Rafferty, is vice captain of the Mens’s 1st XV and her younger brother, Barnaby, is captain of the U12. Dad Ben is a coach and sometime Vets player. Zara's international call up means she joins another Lewes youth player, Geordie Gwynn, who was vice captain for Scotland U20s in the recent Men’s 6 Nations.

Meanwhile former Lewes Women’s player, Sam Monaghan, is co-captain of Ireland in the Women’s 6 Nations. She rejoins the team for the game against Italy on Easter Sunday at the RDS Stadium in Dublin, having missed the French game due to concussion. She is also a leading light in the Gloucester-Hartbury team who are currently clear leaders in the Premiership Women's League. Our Lionesses are planning to go to Twickenham on 20th April to see her in action against England.
