The Lionesses put in a heroic performance against a skilful, hungry and cohesive Heathfield side. There was some great play by Lewes, showing vast improvements since the start of this, their first competitive season. The hard work and additional Thursday training sessions are clearly paying off. Lewes just needs to link up all the different phases of their game and ensure that each player understands their role/position.

Many thanks to the very proud coaches as ever for their time and effort, and thanks to the parents and ladies for coming along to support.

One proud parent said “Kudos to all the girls today, as they played their socks off against a well drilled Heathfield. It was great to see some tries and some awesome tackles!”

The Lionesses are back at training on 6th January for a pizza and clubhouse session to delve a little deeper into the nuts and bolts of rugby.
