Lewes 1st XV (15) - Medway (10)

The ladies 1st team boarded a coach to Kent on Saturday with their favourite A&A driver and number 1 supporter Lance. They dropped off the men’s 1st in Vigo before taking on Medway in a tough league contest.
Medway were straight out of the starting blocks with a try in the opening minutes which shocked and awoke a, perhaps, overly confident visiting side. Lewes stepped up into the game and made relentless attacks but Medway upset the rhythm and defended enthusiastically. Lewes did not capitalise on all of the opportunities they were given, even when camped out in the oppositions’ half for the majority of the game. Lewes got 3 good team tries in the end, but the game was not finished before Medway punished Lewes back with a fine penalty move.

Some brilliant phases of play on both sides came with a good dusting off of the cobwebs. Lewes need to take every opportunity they are given when they come up against Old Albanians at home next week.
Kick off: 2pm @ Lewes RFC
